Jenny Taft a ‘little sad’ over Shannon Sharpe-Skip Bayless divorce

Skip Bayless wasn’t the only person sad to see Shannon Sharpe leave “Undisputed.”

Sharpe had his final day sitting across from Bayless on the FS1 show on Tuesday, and the breakup — first reported by The Post — came with some emotions.

Jenny Taft, former moderator and host of the flagship FS1 debate show for four years, shared on Tuesday that the divorce between Bayless and Sharpe also had her feeling emotional.

“I’m a little sad to see it come to an end, to be honest,” Taft told Barrett Sports Media. “I am still very close with Shannon – he and I talked the other day. I think it’s a bummer to see a show that I really always believed in kind of end that way, but I know Shannon is going to be doing something incredible.”

Sharpe is leaving the show after nearly seven years verbally battling Bayless.

“Ladies and gentlemen home, thank you, thank you. You will see me again somewhere. I just don’t know where,” Sharpe said on his final show.

The Post reported that Sharpe’s exit was in part due to feeling like he was not an equal partner with Bayless.

Taft, who also works as a sideline reporter, left the show in 2022 after signing an extension with Fox Sports and was replaced on the show by Jen Hale.

Taft had issues with Bayless in the past, including when she confronted Bayless about a comment made about Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy’s weight in correlation to his qualifications as a coach.

During the spat, Bayless quickly tried to dismiss Taft, but she wasn’t having it.

“I’m allowed to have an opinion, Skip. I’m allowed to say whatever I want on this show, as do you, too,” she said.

Sharpe and Bayless also had a public blowup over an incendiary tweet Bayless sent the night Damar Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest on the field.

“No doubt the NFL is considering postponing the rest of this game — but how,” Bayless wrote in his tweet. “This late in the season, a game of this magnitude is crucial to the regular-season outcome … which suddenly seems so irrelevant.”

Sharpe stayed home from “Undisputed” the following day.

And now 54-year-old Hall of Fame tight end is moving on with his career.

“He’s one of the hardest working people I know,” Taft said. “So whatever’s next for Shannon, I cannot wait to see it.”
