There’s a new sheriff in town.

Our New York Post “Up In The Blue Seats” Rangers podcast returned Tuesday for a fifth season, looking ahead to the 2023-2024 Blueshirts campaign.

Post Rangers beat writer Mollie Walker is back to co-host the show. Our Hall of Famer Larry Brooks is back for another season as he will continue making his weekly spot on the program.

But I have brought in a new replacement for me as co-host. I will still produce the show alongside Andrew Harts and we will chime in from time to time. We missed having a former player perspective every week on the show. It was time for an upgrade.

I’m excited to welcome former Ranger and 15-year former NHL center Brian Boyle as the new co-host of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast.

Boyle just wrapped up his career after announcing his retirement back in March. His time in New York was memorable, being a part of some terrific Rangers teams, including the 2013-14 team that made the Stanley Cup Finals. Boyle played five seasons for the Blueshirts from 2009-14, and played locally for the Devils for two years from 2017-19.

The 38-year-old also played for the Kings, Lightning, Maple Leafs, Predators, Panthers and most recently the Penguins.

We’re excited to bring in a fantastic player on the ice, a well-respected player, teammate and person. Boyle overcame cancer in 2018 after announcing his diagnosis with chronic myelogenous leukemia in 2017 while with the Devils. Everyone speaks so highly of him and we are thrilled to have him as part of the “Up In The Blue Seats” podcast family.

He’s going to bring some great insight on the current Rangers, tell stories from his days with the Blueshirts and around the NHL and bring on plenty of former Ranger guests and old teammates. The Hingham, Mass. native will also be seen on TV with the NHL Network this season. Boyle is sure to be a star in the hockey media world.

Listen and watch the first episode of the new season of the podcast as Mollie, Larry and Andrew give an in-depth preview of the Rangers season, new coaching staff, new players and make their predictions for the season.
