The Giants’ Tommy DeVito playoff-chase story was fun while it lasted. But now it’s back to reality after the Giants offense looked like it did before this three-game win streak on Sunday in New Orleans.

While the Giants are not mathematically eliminated, their hopes are pretty much sealed.

It was going to take a miracle even with a win Sunday, but nonetheless, they are done at 5-9.

And now they have to go to Philly to play the Eagles on Christmas, which could be an ugly one.

Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz and Brandon London are here to react to the 24-6 loss Sunday and where the 5-9 Giants stand with three games to go on a postgame “Blue Rush” podcast.

“Blue Rush” Podcast with Lawrence Tynes, Paul Schwartz & Brandon London:

  • BACK TO REALITY: It was back to the norm Sunday on offense as the Giants played messy football. It wasn’t all on DeVito, but the offense could not get anything going, especially in the run game.
  • SPECIAL TEAMS: Jamie Gillan making a field goal may have been the highlight of the game. That is not easy to do. Tynes also has some thoughts on Randy Bullock, who he believes is out of shape and that factored into him hurting his hamstring.
  • DEVITO’S AGENT: Tynes says it’s time for DeVito’s agent to get off the sideline. He’s made it more about himself when it should be about Tommy.
